Fiction Family

I am not really a Switchfoot fan.

But I do like Jon Foreman, especially when he plays an acoustic guitar by himself. So I was happy to come across his recent project called Fiction Family, in which he collaborated with Nickel Creek's frontman Sean Watkins.

Check out the video and watch a few more if you have the time.

Political Warfare Still Lingers

To those of you who thought that personal political battles were finished amongst the American electorate, I have sad news.

These two strangers deserve a shake of the head and a few laughs from us all.

"Light as a feather, stiff as a board.."

Remember that favorite family past time from years ago? First there was the nice evening gathered around the table with aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Then, there was cleaning up for the adults and running about for the children. Then after night and dinner had fully settled in, we'd loosen ourselves up. Sometimes we played music together. Other times, we played games that had our hair filled with these. And then there were the nights we played Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board - the innocent game of supernatural discovery.

Today, there is good news. I can no longer be freaked out by the memories of that game. Science has sucked the mystery right away. And I am glad.

How the City Hurts Your Brain

Check out this study posted on Boston.  But I'm not sure if we can blame all of America's stupidity on cities.
I've seen dumb people out in the country too.

That aside, this research provides great support for the  Downtown Greenway project.

Socializing Your Bookshelf

Have you ever wondered what your friends had packed away on their bookshelves? Have you ever wondered what books you have packed away on your bookshelf?

Well, some pretty cool innovators were nice enough to help us solve both of those problems by creating Shelfari, a social networking site where you can upload your book titles, view your friend's book titles, and get recommendations for books that you may enjoy. The best part, it's free.

Let me know if you join. You just may have a book I'm interested in.
